About
In this special multi-part class we learn to paint three landscapes from the final section of the Juneau Icefield Traverse. We begin by flying in to the icefield on a helicopter and painting the Gilkey Glacier. Then, we ski and hike to a remote camp to paint near the border with Canada before hiking all the way to the shores of Atlin Lake for the final painting! As always, I am so excited to share this painting adventure with you! This painting lesson was made possible by the Juneau Icefield Research Program; I was a member of their volunteer faculty for two weeks, and I appreciate the opportunity to film these classes during my free time. Time: Each painting takes about 40 minutes. If you watch all the adventure videos and colors/techniques/composition sections plus the paintings, the total run time is 3 hours. Published: February2025
